Terms and conditions for SMS

By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS updates related to our services. Standard message and data rates may apply. For more information, reply HELP or contact our customer service team.

1. Messaging Frequency
Clear Statement on Frequency: Users should be informed about how often they can expect to receive messages. Be specific about the frequency, whether it’s daily, weekly, monthly, or occasional messages. For example: "You will receive up to 5 messages per week."
Variable Frequency: If the frequency might vary, provide an estimate range like "up to X messages per week/month."

2. Opt-in Process
Clear Consent: Include information on how the user can opt-in to receive messages. The opt-in process must be simple and straightforward. For example: "To subscribe to SMS alerts, text 'JOIN' to [346] 980 4406."
Confirmation: A confirmation message should be sent after the user opts in, confirming their subscription. Example: "You’ve successfully subscribed to America's reliable cargos SMS alerts."
3. Opt-out Process
Simple Opt-out Method: Users should be able to easily opt-out of receiving messages at any time. You should provide clear instructions on how to unsubscribe, such as "Text 'STOP' to [346] 980 4406 to opt out."
Automatic Unsubscription: Make it clear that users who text "STOP" or similar keywords will be automatically unsubscribed, and they will receive a confirmation message indicating that they will no longer receive SMS messages. Example: "You have unsubscribed and will no longer receive messages from America's reliable cargos."
Alternative Opt-out Method: In addition to SMS opt-out, you may also allow email or web-based unsubscription, e.g., "To stop receiving messages, reply with 'STOP' or visit [www.reliablecargos.com]."
4. Link to Privacy Policy
Online Privacy Policy: It’s essential to include a link to your online privacy policy so users can easily access and review how their personal data will be collected, used, and protected. Example: "For more details, please review our Privacy Policy."
Compliance with Data Protection Laws: Ensure that the privacy policy complies with relevant data protection regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and outlines how users’ data is handled.
5. Other Legal Information
Disclaimer and Liability: It’s important to include a disclaimer regarding potential service interruptions or delays in messaging, stating that the provider is not liable for such issues.
Changes to Terms: Make it clear that the terms and conditions may be updated, and provide a process for users to be notified of changes.
Example of Terms and Conditions Excerpt:
